Tips
Dates and timings are all approximate!
Check Facebook pages or other social media of your chosen location daily for updates regarding fruit availability as this is very changeable with the unpredictability of our great British weather! It is difficult to plan this kind of trip too far in advance.
Check opening times as some places run shorter times when fruit is in low supply. Go as early as possible in the day if you want a quieter experience or if you are going at the weekend. You also get the best pick of fruit for the day.
Toilet facilities are very variable so bare that in mind for children in nappies or who are potty training.
Dress appropriately knowing you will be in an open field on a working farm.
Take advantage of this very wholesome experience to get some nice family pictures – and be unapologetic about getting those shots! I’m down on the ground, phone at all angles, candid shots, posed shots – portrait mode is on! Sorry it’s just got to be done. Our strawberry and pumpkin picking photos are always so lovely and will be treasured for many years.
